Feedback Control Loading Systems - Software Services

Math Model Software for Aircraft

Servos & Simulation has developed advanced software for feedback control loader systems that accurately replicate the flight controls of a wide range of aircraft. Using a precise mathematical model, the software simulates the flight control system specific to each aircraft, ensuring high fidelity and realism in every simulation. Math Model Software - Supported Features

Each model typically includes the following features to enhance simulation accuracy:

Feel Spring
Breakout
Stops
Friction
Damping
Force Trim (for helicopters)
Beep Trim (for fixed-wing aircraft)
Stick Shaker
Stick Pusher
Coupling between Axes
Autopilot
Boost actuators with hydraulic failure modes
Aerodynamic forces on control surfaces
Trim tab and servo tab operation
Separable aileron controls (for wheels)
Separable elevator controls (for columns)

Additionally, boost failure modes usually include manual reversion, allowing the aircraft to remain flyable. Separable aileron and elevator controls require a dedicated control loader actuator for each wheel or column. For systems with dual controls, such as two-wheel or two-column setups, connection and disconnection are managed through software.

In aircraft with fore and aft cockpits, like the Apache, the flight controls in the forward cockpit can be connected to the aft cockpit either mechanically or via software—providing flexibility in simulation design.

Returned Variables

The software returns a comprehensive set of variables to the host computer, including but not limited to:

Flight control roll angle (wheel or stick)
Flight control pitch angle (column or stick)
Flight control pedal position
Flight control collective stick position (helicopters only)
Aileron angle
Elevator angle
Rudder angle

Additional variables are available upon request to meet specific simulation requirements.
